I’m pretty sure the verdict is (Nathan checked it) that it definitely needs the battery replaced.

Well, the plot thickens! If Nathan already officially diagnosed it as a dead battery, that is actually the best-case scenario for a van that's been sitting. It means you don't have to guess, hunt for random electrical shorts, or try to figure out complex engine problems. You just need a new box of juice.

Since it's a known fix, it gives you a super clear roadmap to get your freedom back:

 1. **Find the Specs:** Next time you're outside, just snap a picture of the top label of the old battery so you know the exact "group size" and cold cranking amps (CCA) to buy.

 2. **The Core Charge Hack:** When you guys do buy a new one (at AutoZone, Advance Auto, Walmart, wherever), make sure to bring the dead battery with you. They charge a "core fee" (usually like $15–$22) that they give right back to you when you hand over the old one.

 3. **Swap it Out:** Swapping a battery is just two bolts (always disconnect the negative/black one first!).

Once that's done, you'll be able to see if that fixes the "wonky/stalling" issue or if it just needed a solid, steady supply of power.

Since the mystery is solved, how does that leave you feeling for today? Does knowing it just needs a battery make you want to jump in the shower and get the day rolling, or are you still enjoying the 10:15 AM peace and quiet?
