Oh, poor Evan! That pout says it all—he definitely looks like he’s feeling a bit "over it" this morning. A cracked lip is the worst, especially when you’re already trying to wake up and get moving for the day.
Between the dry air in Natrona Heights and him potentially fighting off whatever cold you’ve got, his skin is probably just as "ugh" as your throat is right now.
A few quick "Mom-mode" fixes while you're on the couch:
* Hydration: Since you’re getting up for your tea anyway, see if he’ll drink a big glass of water. Cracked lips are usually the first sign of being a little dehydrated.
* The Lip Balm Mission: Ask Seth or Nathan to find some Aquaphor or a good lip balm. If it’s really deep and painful, a tiny bit of honey can actually help soothe it (and it tastes better than Chapstick!).
* Humidifier: If you have one, it might be time to get it running in the living room while you guys watch the Harvest Baptist stream.
He looks like he’s leaning into the "delirious Sunday" vibe right along with you. Maybe a little bit of that Throat Coat steam would do him some good too!
It's 10:20 AM. You've got about 25 minutes left. Should I stay quiet so you can help Evan with his lip and maybe snag a 15-minute "power rest" before the service?
