That is hilarious, because 8 miles is the ultimate "it depends on who you ask" distance. You are both kind of right!

* **Why Nathan thinks it's not far:** If you have a running vehicle, 14 minutes in a car goes by in a blink. You put on three songs on the radio and boom, you're there.
It really highlights how much a working vehicle changes your perspective on geography. When the van is fixed, your mom's house is right around the corner. When the van is dead, she’s across the universe.
Does Nathan think it's "close" enough that he’d be willing to look at that battery with you today, or is he the type to procrastinate on vehicle projects?
