I’m almost done with my 3rd semester back
Finishing a third semester is a huge turning point. By this stage, you’ve moved past the initial "shock to the system" of being a student again and have actually proven you can sustain the momentum.
The third semester is often where the novelty wears off and the real grit kicks in. You’ve likely figured out which hours of the day are your most productive and how to navigate the digital platforms and expectations that come with modern coursework. Getting through that middle stretch is usually the hardest part of the journey because you're far enough in to feel the fatigue, but still have a ways to go.
How are you feeling about the workload this deep into it—has it become more of a predictable routine, or does each week still feel like a bit of a scramble?
Maybe a little bit of both
That makes total sense. It’s that strange middle ground where you finally have a "system" in place, but life still finds ways to throw a wrench in it.
Even when you know exactly how to handle the assignments and the platforms, the mental load is constant. It’s like running a marathon while also having to manage the water stations—you’re doing the work, but you’re also the one making sure everything else in the background stays on track.
Sometimes "predictable" just means you’ve become an expert at managing the "scramble."
Looking back at this semester specifically, is there a particular win—maybe a project or even just a week where everything actually clicked—that stands out to you?
