Every time I post something on Facebook, i feel weird lol
That "Facebook weirdness" is a very real phenomenon! It’s that strange mix of performance anxiety and the feeling of shouting into a digital void that’s actually a room full of everyone you’ve ever met.
There are a few reasons why it usually feels a bit "off":
Context Collapse: On Facebook, your audience is often a weird blend of high school friends, distant cousins, former coworkers, and current neighbors. It’s hard to find a "voice" that feels natural to all those different groups at once.
The "Wait and See" Effect: Once you hit post, there’s that subconscious internal clock that starts ticking, waiting for a like or a comment to validate that what you said wasn't totally awkward.
Digital Over-Exposure: Sometimes it feels like you're sharing a slice of your life with people you wouldn't necessarily invite into your living room for a coffee, which creates a bit of an emotional mismatch.
Do you feel like the "weirdness" comes from what you're posting, or is it more about who might be seeing it?
